Just Back: Five Nights at Chenot Palace Weggis

Categories

From the moment I stepped onto the property, Chenot Palace Weggis felt like stepping into another dimension – one where time slows and your health becomes your primary focus, it’s all about you.

The decor is modern yet warm, highlighting its natural surroundings with a glass walkway and panoramic views of the mountain and lake from every corner. The 97 rooms at Chenot Palace Weggis are designed to promote relaxation and rejuvenation, featuring wooden floors, neutral-toned furnishings, and large windows that offer stunning views of Lake Lucerne or the surrounding Swiss Alps. Many rooms also include private balconies or terraces.

The Chenot Method® is a protocol that blends Western medical diagnostics with Eastern energy work. My stay began with a comprehensive medical intake, which included consultations with doctors, nutritionists, and wellness therapists. Based on the results, my week was tailored to meet my specific needs. The core of the Advanced Detox prorgram, is the plant-based nutritional plan designed to trigger cellular cleansing, known as autophagy, along with a metabolic reset and hormone rebalance.

All meals are included and are artfully plated (think Michelin) and surprisingly satisfying. The menu changes daily, so you look forward to the creativity and variety at every meal.

My Advance Detox daily schedule included:

  • Hydro-aromatherapy, a hydro-jet bath infused with essential oils to boost circulation and lymphatic flow.
  • Phytomud therapy: Application of heated detoxifying mud to targeted areas, stimulating elimination pathways.
  • Chenot energetic massage: A deep, rhythmic treatment designed to release tension and stimulate energy flow along meridians.

Each morning, there is an option for yoga or gentle stretch class. I had the opportunity to participate in an a invigorating group hike into the beautiful alpine hills. A must do if offered when you are on property. There is also a state-of-the-art gym with unique equipment. My favorite was the Anti-Gravity treadmill developed to reduce the impact of walking or running by partially supporting your body weight, enabling you to run or walk at a higher intensity.

Luxury at Chenot isn’t about excess—it’s about intentionality. No cappuccino bar or dessert cart. There are no overflowing buffets. No late-night cocktails. Instead, quiet corners for journaling, tea infusions tailored to your liver, and leisurely walks by the lake. Chenot isn’t about what you give up but about gaining clarity, energy, and, yes, you may even leave several pounds lighter. My skin glowed. My digestion had recalibrated. But more than anything, I felt empowered—with a new understanding of how my body works and what it needs to thrive.

Chenot Palace Weggis is more than just a wellness retreat. It’s a reset button nestled in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. If you’re ready to meet the next version of yourself, I can’t recommend it enough.
