The President of the United States, Barack Obama, and his family visited the Llao Llao Hotel.
Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, Golf – Spa is grateful and honored to have had President Barack Obama and his family during his stay in Bariloche on March 24th, 2016.
The President and his family enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in Bariloche, including a boat ride and a walking tour of the hotel surroundings. Before leaving, they treated themselves to a dinner at our Moreno Lake Lounge, with patagonian specialties selected from our menu.
President Obama showed his appreciation for his stay in Patagonia in the social networks after his departure, and shared a photo of the landscape from Bariloche with the following message: ‘Michelle, the girls, and I took a detour in Argentina to hike through Patagonia—and I wanted to share this photo I took. We walked paths along glacial lakes surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It was beautiful—exactly the kind of place we need to protect for our kids, and for their kids. I’m grateful my daughters got to see it. And if we want each new generation to see it as they did, we have to keep doing everything in our power to combat climate change. It’s the only planet we’ve got, and it’s spectacular. So let’s take good care of it’.
President Mauricio Macri and First Lady Mrs. Juliana Awada came by to our Hotel to say goodbye to the Obama family at the end of their visit to Argentina. In this photo the two couples meet at the Moreno Lake Lounge lounge and deck.
The Obama family was so delighted with Bariloche that they promised to come back next year. This visit makes us proud and will remain as one of the most memorable events in our history for ever.
