The New Sacher Eck and Sacher Confiserie

By | Latest News | No Comments

“At the Hotel Sacher, time never stands still. A fact that is impressively displayed in seven new suites on the bel étage, the new Sacher Eck and the new Sacher Confiserie.

There is a lot going on behind the imperial facades of the Sacher Hotel in Vienna. In 2017, the owner family embarks on an ambitious journey of carefully renovating seven suites on the bel étage, creating 150 additional seats at the new Sacher Eck – which now spreads over two floors – as well as presenting a completely new concept for the Sacher Confiserie. “Managing a hotel is a permanent process of renewal,” assert Reiner Heilmann and Armie-Angélique Lassiwe, the two hotel managers at the Sacher hotels in Vienna and Salzburg. “Our guests expect the best – not only from our employees but from the hotels themselves.

The new Sacher Eck spreads over two floors, allowing for even more space to enjoy a glass of wine or delicious Sacher treats. On the newly created first floor, guests enjoy cozy seats, welcoming séparées and a magnificent view to the Vienna State Opera.

The new Sacher Confiserie impresses with majestic white marble and the introduction of a new sales concept that focuses on visual and tactile experiences for the customers.”

The Hotel Brunelleschi in Florence gains yet two important referrals to be added to the numerous features in guides and magazines obtained in the tourism segment. The Sunday Times and Forbes Travel Guide, respectively British and American, both include the hotel in their exclusive lists designed to recommend the best of the city.

The Sunday Times and Forbes Travel Guide feature the Florentine hotel

The Sunday Times is a monthly British magazine with a circulation of about 68,000 readers. Every year it organizes the Travel Awards and recommends places to visit and accommodations to stay in.

This year it mentions only 3 hotels in Florence and the Hotel Brunelleschi is described as one of the best properties in town. It reports also that the hotel is included in Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code. It praises the location, the gourmet restaurant and the Pagliazza Tower Suite.

The Travel Guide of the authoritative US financial magazine Forbes, founded in 1917, annually announces its Global Star Rating listing the best hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. This year Forbes has opened its Star Rating to Italy and has recognized with 4 stars the excellence of the Florentine hotel.

Only the properties that satisfy Forbes’ strict standards are featured in this hospitality Gotha and obtain the coveted stars. Highly professional inspectors stay incognito, check meticulously each property and value them according to standards that include more than 500 criteria. The result represents the global benchmark of luxury travel and a sure reference point for travel without bad surprises.

In its special issue “How to spend a fabulous Fall in Florence” Forbes Travel Guide mentions only 3 hotels including the Brunelleschi, Four Seasons and Savoy, in addition to museums, food and shopping addresses. Forbes advises readers how to organize their Florentine stay from all points of view.

The exceptional location, the stunning panoramic views from different rooms on the dome of the Cathedral and Giotto’s bell tower, the refined ambiance, attention to detail, gourmet dining, are some elements of this historical and charming hotel.

How To Spend A Fabulous Fall In Florence

Hotel Brunelleschi

Hotel Brunelleschi’s entrance is in a charming little square in the historic center of Florence, just a few steps from the Duomo, Palazzo della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery. The hotel is surrounded by the shopping streets and famous museums. It includes a 6th century Byzantine round tower and a medieval church, all restored to their original features. Inside, a private museum exhibits artefacts found during the restoration of the tower and the remains of a Roman bath, now embedded in the foundations. Hotel Brunelleschi is part of the Florentine Historical Businesses. The hotel has been renovated in an extremely elegant contemporary style, dominated by the light colors and gray of the typical “serena” stone.

From February 2017 the hotel’s gastronomic menu is signed by the Michelin-starred chef Rocco De Santis.

Santa Elisabetta Restaurant is the gourmet restaurant of the hotel and is one of the most interesting gastronomic addresses on Florence. Located in an intimate room with only 7 tables on the first floor of the Byzantine tower, which is part of the hotel, to the enviable location it adds a sophisticated atmosphere and refined cuisine. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7.30 to 10.30 pm. Every Friday and Saturday it hosts a special food and wine menu.

The most informal Osteria della Pagliazza opens every day from 12.30 to 2.30 pm and from 7.30 to 10.30 pm. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, during the warm season it provides also some open-air tables in the charming piazza in front of the hotel, and offers a delicious menu of dishes based on ingredients of the surrounding territory.
